Throughout East Lothian you will find places, both indoor and out, for fun, fitness and relaxation.

There are six sport centres, five swimming pools including a leisure pool with flume and waves, bowling greens, tennis courts, children's activities and golf courses. With so much to choose from it is never hard to find something to do in East Lothian.

Other popular activities in the area include - cycling, scuba diving, fishing, hill-walking, karting and bird watching. Local visitor attractions include The Scottish Seabird Centre, Glenkinchie Distillery, John Muir House, Myreton Motor Museum and East Fortune Museum of Flight with Concorde. The area also boasts a variety of historic houses and castles including Lennoxlove House, Dirleton Castle and Tantallon Castle with its spectacular views to the nearby Bass Rock. North Berwick Law

 

North Berwick is dominated by the Law ('hill') - an extinct volcano rising to over 600 feet in height. The climb is not too strenuous (sturdy boots are recommended) and the views offer ample reward. If you are not feeling so energetic perhaps a walk around the beautiful Lodge Grounds or too the beach would suit you better.

The Scottish Seabird Centre in North Berwick, is the ideal location for the enthusiastic bird watcher or nature lover.



 

 

 

 

 

Dunbar Leisure Pool Dunbar Leisure Pool The shallow beach area and waves really let you know you are by the sea when you visit this pool. There is a big yellow flume to speed down into a separate splash pool as well as a bubble bed, geysers and sprays. For relaxing there is a steam room and sauna, while for working out there is a gym, dance studio and activity hall.


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And whilst in historic Dunbar, visit the harbour and see the remains of the castle. You might also like to visit John Muir House and the John Muir Country Park.
